As you can tell from my paintings, I truly love color. I started drawing a the age of four and was lucky enough to have quite a few amazing teachers throughout my childhood that showed me the art of painting with oil on canvas. One of them was a former student of Emil Nolde, who introduced me to the use of intense, vibrant colors. In 2009, I switched from oil to acrylic paintings and now focus mostly on portraits of people and animals. In 1997 I was awarded Best Upcoming Artist for my series “Insects” at Galerie Kunstbombe in Herne, Germany.
